SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to change the intensity of the flow of solar energy to the earth's surface. The method for reducing the level of solar radiation to the earth's surface includes spraying small water particles in the near-Earth space, their enlargement into larger drops around condensation centres, and formation of ice crystalline particles. The height from the surface of the earth, at which the formed ice crystalline particles are located with the largest faces parallel to the earth's surface, is determined by the method of successive approximations with values of the Reynolds criterion of the ascending air flow less than 50, according to the expression: , where h is the height above the ground, m; Re is the dimensionless Reynolds criterion;υ is the speed of the ascending air flow at a height h, m/s; L is the largest size of a crystalline ice particle at a height h, m; ν is the kinematic viscosity of the air flow at height h, m2/s.

EFFECT: increased level of reflection of sunlight back into outer space.
