FIELD: meteorology.

SUBSTANCE: used to reduce ozone concentration in surface areas of the atmosphere in controlled regions. The method involves spraying tiny water particles no larger than 0.05 mm in size in the atmosphere, followed by their crystallization. Spraying of tiny water particles is carried out in the air temperature range of minus 16÷ minus 22°C, in which the particles take the form of plates with a maximum area of mirror edges.

EFFECT: decrease in ozone concentration in surface areas of the atmosphere in controlled regions by mirror reflection of ultraviolet radiation back into outer space and thereby reducing their flow to the earth's surface.
