METHOD OF PREDICTING THE PROBABILITY OF A COMPLICATED FORM OF THE DISEASE IN PATIENTS WITH SCLEROGENIC MACULAR DEGENERATION Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61F9/07 A61B8/10

Abstract RU 2802252 C1

FIELD: ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: following is proposed: a method of predicting the probability of having a complicated form in patients with sclerogenic macular degeneration, which includes determining the patient's maximum corrected visual acuity, the retinal thickness in the center, the uniformity of the caliber of the choroidal vessels, the height and diameter of the dome, after which the probability of the occurrence of a complicated form is calculated using a given formula. If the probability of a complicated form in patients with sclerogenic macular degeneration is less than or equal to 0.616, it is considered that the probability of having a complicated form is low, if the probability is more than 0.616, the probability of having a complicated form is high.

EFFECT: invention provides an extension of the arsenal of methods of assessing the probability of a complicated form in patients with sclerogenic macular degeneration and the severity of his/her condition upon admission to a hospital.
