FIELD: controlling blast furnace melting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling blast furnace melting, which provides the possibility of trouble-free start-up of the blast furnace and operation of the furnace after the cessation of air blast by removing to the maximum extent possible the residual coke that remains inside the furnace during the cessation of air blast and becomes an obstacle to unloading the hardened material. In the blast furnace control method, the air blast is suspended under the condition that the surface of the layer previously filled with the feedstock reaches the level directly above the tuyere of the blast furnace, it descended to a level below the upper end of the shoulder pads of the blast furnace, and then the air blast is resumed. After stopping the supply of air blast to the blast furnace, oxygen or oxygen together with combustible gas is blown through a nozzle inserted into the lettuce to burn the coke remaining inside the furnace and reduce the volume of residual material inside the furnace, and after loading fresh coke into the zone in which the volume of residual material is reduced, air is blown through the tuyere.
EFFECT: provides the possibility of trouble-free start-up of the blast furnace and operation of the furnace.
