FIELD: video cameras.
SUBSTANCE: zoom lens can be used in video cameras to record images in the visible and submillimeter ranges of the spectrum. The zoom lens includes a cylindrical body with end protective glasses containing electrically conductive and electrically non-conductive liquids, which, by chemical composition, do not contain water molecules and hydroxide groups and are separated by an elastic membrane transparent in the visible and submillimeter spectral ranges. Control electrodes are built into the body. The peripheral part of the membrane, fixed on the annular frame, moves along the inner cylindrical surface. A spectrum-splitting mirror is installed in the rear focal section of the lens, which reflects visible radiation to a photon-type detector and transmits submillimeter radiation to a thermal detector.
EFFECT: changing the scale of images, increasing the observation range from visible to submillimeter, improving image quality.
