FIELD: hosiery.
SUBSTANCE: sports sock (1) or a compression stocking made of warp-knitted or weft-knitted main textile material (10) contains a cylindrical shaft (12) having cuff (11) on which compression means (2) are located along shaft (12), and compression means (2) are at least two counter-directional spirals (20, 21) are used, around shaft (12) from area (14) of the arch of the foot towards cuff (11), and which intersect at least once and connected to the main textile material (10) in such a way that the knitting pattern or the textile thread of spirals (20, 21) is attached to main textile material (10) with the achievement of a stabilizing supporting effect by means of at least one additional cushion formed on main textile material (10) on the front side of sports sock (1) or compression stocking along the calf area extending from cuff (11) to arch area (14) and at least partially overlaps intersecting spirals (20, 21).
