FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to capsules for hot isostatic pressing. The method includes filling an elastic capsule with powder while applying vibration to seal it and applying mechanical pressure to the resulting powder molding. An elastic capsule is used, consisting of two parts: a cylindrical one with a hole with a diameter of 100 to 300 mm and a bottom, and a separate head with a nozzle for degassing, and a plug designed to exert mechanical pressure on the powder molding during vibration. The vibration of the powder into the capsule is carried out in two stages - preliminary stage, with simultaneous rapid filling of the elastic capsule with powder for 10-20 s, and short-term final stage of 5-10 s, with application of mechanical pressure of 0.5-5.0 MPa on powder molding due to installation of a cap on top of the capsule to muffle it and a load.
EFFECT: obtaining capsules with maximally dense packing and minimal molding shrinkage after combustible isostatic pressing.
