FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: tire tread wear indicator comprises numbers and protrusions of variable height located on the surface of the annular groove and flowing from one vertical edge of the annular groove to another in a continuous array in the form of a parallelogram. At the same time, the numbers in each ledge correspond to the height of the ledge, are made with recesses and are located inside large ledges in the area of the bottom of the annular groove. The tire tread wear indicator has at least six large protrusions for indicating the remaining tread depth, while the protrusions and numbers of the indicator are visually highlighted by a frequent oblique notch at the bottom of the annular groove.
EFFECT: visual control of the degree of wear of the tire tread without violating the integrity of the tread rib and without difficulty in removing snow and dirt along the grooves of the tread during tire operation.
