FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining the resistance to movement of traction rolling stock from undercar generators based on the analysis of the speed curve consists in using the onboard system of the traction rolling stock to measure the speed of its movement and the speed recording time and form the actual speed curve. Based on the speed curve, the change in the acceleration intensity of the rolling stock is determined in the speed range of the automatic connection of generators. After that, on the basis of the traction characteristics of the locomotive of the rolling stock, the resistance to movement from the undercar generators is determined.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of determining the forces of resistance to the movement of the rolling stock.
