FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power supply systems, in particular in the direct current traction power supply system of railway transport, to solve problems of increasing throughput and carrying capacity and energy efficiency. The method provides for determining the coefficient of uneven loading of converter units to assess the technical condition and check the open circuit voltage corresponding to their effective parallel operation. The load of the converting units is estimated based on the determination of the load unevenness coefficient using a graphical-analytical method.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of parallel operation of the converter units of traction substations based on the evaluation of external characteristics obtained from measurement data.
