FIELD: molecular biology.
SUBSTANCE: method for normalizing quantitative data obtained as a result of amplification of nucleic acids from a cell, organism or virus is described, including obtaining quantitative data as a result of amplification of the genomic DNA of the first gene and RNA transcribed from the specified first gene, and as a result of amplification of the sequence of non-transcribed DNA in the specified cell, organism or virus. The use of these quantitative data to obtain a normalized value, which is the ratio of the amounts of the indicated genomic DNA and RNA transcripts of the specified first gene to those for the specified sequence of non-transcribed DNA present in the nucleic acid sample before carrying out the specified amplification is also described.
EFFECT: joint amplification within a single quantitative PCR reaction of various molecules and regions of the DNA genome and the corresponding RNA from the gene, as well as a DNA sequence that is not transcribed, due to which it is possible to normalize the levels of RNA on DNA present in one sample and the same set transcription levels in cells, organisms and viruses.
