SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to protect against drought, desertification of land and replenish reservoirs and lakes. The method for creating artificial clouds and precipitation consists in introducing an upward jet of water vapor into the surface atmosphere, having an initial temperature of 2400-3000°C, initial speed 3000-4000 m/s, flow rate 100-300 kg/s. To accelerate the formation of clouds and precipitation, at least 1012 particles/s of a hygroscopic aerosol with a diameter of 5 mcm are introduced into the water vapor jet. Spraying of hygroscopic aerosol is carried out at a height of 300-500 m, where the temperature of the water vapor jet is lower than the dissociation temperature of the aerosol substance.

EFFECT: increase of efficiency and environmental safety of the method for artificially increasing precipitation.
