SUBSTANCE: motion control method and device for vehicle motion control using a processor. The method comprises: autonomous control of the vehicle, performing the first and the second autonomous controls. Autonomous vehicle control occurs through speed and steering control. The first autonomous control takes place using information recognized from an image captured by a camera mounted on the vehicle. The second autonomous control takes place using map information stored on a data carrier in the vehicle. The first autonomous control is performed when the external situation of the vehicle is recognized from the captured image. When an unrecognized area is present on the vehicle's driving path, switching from the first autonomous control to the second autonomous control is performed.
EFFECT: improved safety of autonomous control.
