FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: object under study - a cutting or core of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete - in a state of natural humidity and temperature is placed in the imaging chamber of a CT-scanner, and the object under study is fixed on the opposite side of the X-ray detector tube in the centre of the holder; then the doors of the device are closed, the CT-scanner is connected to the network and the pre-installed software is launched, while the doors of the CT-scanner are locked and the X-ray tube is turned on. Then, in the software, set the centre of the red cross to the centre of the object under study using pointers, then set the value of the distance from the axis of rotation of the object under study to the camera; then select the size of the recorded area so that the object under study is located inside the square of red lines, then set the number of rotation angles; then the CT-scanner automatically takes pictures of the object under study, and the results of the experiment are viewed using the 2D and 3D buttons on the program panel. Then, using the software, an image of the object under study is examined to determine the content of air voids, after which the software automatically calculates the amount of air-filled voids in the object under study - a cutting or core of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete.

EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of known means for this purpose by developing a simplified, more reliable and faster method for determining the content of air voids for rapid diagnosis of the physical parameters of crushed stone-mastic asphalt concrete.
