FIELD: medicine; cardiac surgery.
SUBSTANCE: cardioplegic solution is introduced into the aortic root, and after the start of extracorporeal circulation, a cardioplegic solution is introduced into the aortic root at a pressure of 100–130 mm Hg to overcome the resistance of the contracting heart and reduce the performance of the heart-lung machine, after which the aorta is cross-clamped, while the infusion of the cardioplegic solution continues.
EFFECT: method improves the quality of myocardial protection at the main stage of the operation, ensures the development of fast, stable controlled asystole and spontaneous recovery of the heart rate, reduces the number of postoperative cardiac complications, provides a significant improvement in the restoration of myocardial function and metabolism after the end of extracorporeal circulation.
