FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the complex treatment of orthopaedic patients with bruxism. When preparing for complex treatment of orthopaedic patients with bruxism, a device for the treatment of night bruxism is used, comprising a mandibular base and a dentition closure limiter. In this case, the mandibular base covers the teeth of the lower jaw lingually to the height of the tooth crown with capture of the alveolar process in the area of the lateral lower first molars and is made of acrylic plastic, and the limiter for the closure of the teeth of the upper and lower jaws is made in the form of two clasps. The clasps are designed to be placed on the first molars of the lower jaw.
EFFECT: relaxation of the masticatory, medial pterygoid and temporal muscles, preventing excessive closure of the dentition and the creation of protrusive interference during bruxism.
