FIELD: smoking devices.

SUBSTANCE: tobacco rod and a smoking article containing such a rod. The tobacco rod contains a tobacco filler and a tobacco sheet, which is a cigarette paper wound around the tobacco filler. Moreover, the tobacco leaf contains sheet tobacco in an amount of 20 to 50% by weight, cellulose fiber in an amount of 30 to 60% by weight and an additive in the form of paper filler or a combustion aid in an amount of 10 to 40% by weight. While the tobacco sheet has a thickness of 69 to 76 microns, a basis weight of 32 to 38 g/m² and a tensile strength of 12 N/15 mm or higher.

EFFECT: creating a tobacco sheet that can be directly used with existing cigarette manufacturing machines and that allows quick production of smoking articles through its use.
