FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing a nickel-chromium catalyst for the hydrogenation of organic compounds containing a carbonyl group consists in mixing hex-aqueous nickel (II) nitrate with a chromium compound, obtaining their oxides, tableting, reducing at 470°C, in a stream of hydrogen, according to the invention, 6-7 g of ammonium dichromate, 10-14 g of ammonium nitrate, 6-8 g of powdered sugar, 8-14 g of hex-aqueous nickel (II) nitrate are mixed to a pasty state, tableted, ignited, carry out reduction in a stream of hydrogen with a hydrogen supply rate of 1700-1800 h-1 for 55-60 min.
EFFECT: reducing the number of stages, reducing the amount of wash water consumption, reducing the rate and time of hydrogen supply (i.e., saving it), and increasing the activity of the catalyst.
