FIELD: image processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to encoding/decoding images for transmission in service signals of prediction information of components of color signals. An image decoding method is proposed, which is carried out by means of image decoding equipment, and contains: determining the current block by splitting an image; identifying whether or not a palette mode is applied to the current block based on the palette mode flag obtained from the bitstream; obtaining palette mode encoding information of the current block from the bit stream based on the tree type of the current block and whether or not palette mode is applied to the current block; and obtaining chroma component prediction information of the current block from the bitstream based on a palette mode not applied to the current block.

EFFECT: increase of efficiency of encoding/decoding by transmitting prediction information of color signal components in service signals.
