FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image encoding/decoding for transmitting carrier chrominance signal components prediction information in service signals. Disclosed is a method of decoding images carried out by means of image decoding equipment and comprising: determining the current block by splitting the image; identifying whether or not a palette mode is applied for the current block, based on the palette mode flag obtained from the bit stream; obtaining coding information in palette mode of current block from bit stream based on type of tree of current block and whether or not palette mode is applied for current block; and obtaining carrier chrominance signal components prediction information of the current block from the bit stream based on a palette mode not used for the current block. Information for prediction of carrier chrominance signal components is information for prediction based on a cross-component linear model (CCLM) or information for internal prediction of carrier chrominance signals.
EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding/decoding by transmitting carrier chrominance signal components prediction information in service signals.
