FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for suturing when performing muscle myoplasty in strabismus surgery. After dissection of the conjunctiva, the muscle is isolated on hooks and the muscle is longitudinally divided into two parts. Next, proximal suturing is performed and subsequent cutting off of the sutured part of the muscle at the place of its attachment, suturing is performed, the needle with the thread is passed through the sutured part of the muscle and under it, and the ends of the thread are tied. A needle with a thread is first passed under the stitched part of the muscle and the needle with the thread is brought out through the muscle above the stitched part of the muscle at a distance of two thirds from its edge. Then the needle with the thread is re-injected into the part of the muscle to be sutured at a distance of one third from the same edge of the muscle, the needle with the thread is brought out under the part of the muscle to be sutured from the other edge of the muscle, and the entire part of the muscle to be sutured is again pierced in the middle between the opposite inputs of the thread into the muscle, from the side of the first bypass of the needle with the thread around the muscle. The thread is brought out and the withdrawn end of the thread is tied to the other free end of the thread.

EFFECT: method allows to suture evenly, squeezing in three planes, while the outer enveloping turn of the thread holds the outer muscle fibres, is divided into two turns with fixation in the central part of the muscle, and the third turn passing through the thickness of the muscle stabilizes and fixes both the muscle and the thread of the previous turn, which, in turn, makes it possible to exclude slipping of the wrapping course of the seam, reduce the possibility of sagging and weakening of the muscles.
