SUBSTANCE: nicotine composition 511 comprises at least one water-miscible polyhydric alcohol, wherein the content of the water-miscible polyhydric alcohol in the composition is at least about 40% by weight. In this case, the nicotine composition is solid at 25°C or has a viscosity at 25°C of at least about 100 Pa⋅ s, the said at least one water-miscible polyhydric alcohol comprising glycerol and propylene glycol. The ratio of glycerol content in mass percent to the content of propylene glycol in mass percent in the nicotine composition is greater than or equal to about 1.5. The invention also relates to aerosol generating article 500 as well as aerosol generating system 600, aerosol generating article 500 comprising the said nicotine composition 511.

EFFECT: reduced risk of leakage compared to typical nicotine compositions when used in an aerosol generating system, as well as improved delivery of nicotine to the user.
