FIELD: additive technologies.
SUBSTANCE: method for layer-by-layer electron beam surfacing. The vertically fed wire is melted using electron beams symmetrically directed from different sides. To melt the area shielded by the wire from the electron beam, a negative potential is applied to the wire and an electric arc is ignited between its end and the surface to be deposited. Electron beams are focused to obtain a given energy density on the surface to be deposited and on the surface of the wire. Regulation heat input distribution into the wire and into the surface being deposited is carried out by forming a given trajectory of oscillation of the electron beams.
EFFECT: method provides precise control of heat input by distributing the input heat between the melted wire and the deposited metal surface.
