SUBSTANCE: method and device for predicting an image. The image prediction method comprises the steps of: determining, according to information about neighboring image blocks adjacent to the image block to be processed, whether the set of possible prediction modes for the image block to be processed contains an affine combining mode, where the affine joining mode indicates that the respective predicted images of the image block to be processed and neighboring image blocks of the image block to be processed are obtained using the same affine model; parsing the bit stream to obtain the first indication information; determining, in the set of possible prediction modes, a prediction mode for the image block to be processed according to the first indication information; and determining a predicted image of the image block to be processed according to the prediction mode.
EFFECT: reducing the bit rate of encoding of the prediction mode, thereby increasing the coding efficiency.
