FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method has been proposed for detecting and analysing methylation of genomic DNA regions in biological samples of peripheral blood from patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The method involves digesting a sample of genomic DNA using a methyl-dependent endonuclease to produce fragments. It also involves sequencing fragments to obtain reads, aligning the reads to a reference sequence to select a uniquely aligned read, identifying the site in the reference sequence that is methylated in the uniquely aligned read. GlaI is used as a methyl-dependent endonuclease, which is used to analyse the Pu(5mC)GPy sequence in at least one of the genes.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability and reliability of the method for detecting and analysing methylation of genomic DNA regions through a more reliable and accurate determination of the positions (mapping) of a large number of methylated sites in the genome, represented by the sequence Pu(5mC)GPy.
