METHOD FOR PREDICTING UNFAVOURABLE OUTCOME OF LASER COAGULATION OF PLACENTAL ANASTOMOSES AFTER CORRECTION OF FETO-FOETAL TRANSFUSION SYNDROME IN MONOCHORIONIC DIAMNIOTIC TWINS OF STAGES II AND III USING AN INTRAOPERATIVE MARKER, ULTRASOUND INDICATORS OF CONDITION OF INTRAUTERINE FOETUSES, PRESENCE OF CHRONIC DISEASES OF PATIENT'S UROGENITAL TRACT AND VAGINAL DYSBIOSIS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/42 A61B10/04 A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2804990 C1

FIELD: medicine; obstetrics; foetal surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the unfavourable outcome of laser coagulation of placental anastomoses (LCPA) in the correction of feto-foetal transfusion syndrome (FFTS) in monochorionic diamniotic twins (MCDA) stages II and III. To do this, the diagnostic index DI is calculated using the developed mathematical formula. This takes into account the presence/absence of diseases of the mother’s urogenital tract, vaginal dysbiosis, foetal cardiomegaly, and the total number of placental anastomoses. If DI is more than 0.8, a conclusion is made about an unfavourable outcome of laser coagulation after fetoscopic intervention.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to identify patients with predictors of an unfavourable outcome of laser coagulation of placental anastomoses.
