SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for dry or wet grinding of mineral raw materials and semi-finished products, mainly having a layered structure, such as graphite and molybdenum disulfide, in the chemical industry and other industries. A rod drum mill containing drum 1, a drive for its rotation, a source material loading unit, a finished material unloading unit, a grinding unit located inside drum 1 and made in the form of rods 2 with radii R1, having diametrical holes at the edges, interconnected by flexible links 3 passing through these holes. The grinding unit is equipped with additional rod 4 with a radius R2 > R1 made of a material with a higher density than the density of the material of rods R1 and having disks with diameters R3 =R2 + δ installed with the possibility of rotation relative to the longitudinal axis of additional rod 4, and along the edges of additional rod 4 there are holes through which flexible connections pass, and the numerical value of δ is selected from the range from 4 to 10 mm.

EFFECT: increased productivity of the mill due to the rods constantly sliding along the inner surface of the drum and the particles of the layered starting material stratified in the mill.
