FIELD: crushing or grinding of various materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for dry or wet grinding of mineral raw materials and semi-finished products, having, mainly, a layered structure and involving the use of shear deformations during grinding, for example, such as graphite, molybdenum disulphide, boron nitride. Invention can be used in chemical and other industries. Rod drum mill comprises drum (1), its rotation drive, units for loading initial and unloading finished material and grinding unit located inside the drum. Grinding unit is made in the form of a chain of rods (2) with radius R1, connected to each other along the edges by transverse flexible links (3). First rod (2) in the direction of rotation of drum (1) has disks (4) at its edges that are axially symmetrical with it with disc radius R2=R1+δ, where δ is selected from range from 4 to 10 mm. Discs (4) are installed with possibility of rotation, at that ends of rod (2) equipped with discs (4) are installed in floating bushings (5), having possibility of movement in longitudinal slots of carriers (6) fixed in axial zone of drum (1) with the possibility of changing the angle of deviation from the vertical. Above the rods there is belt conveyor (7) for circulation of the ground material through the zone of contact of the rods with the drum wall.
EFFECT: mill provides increased grinding efficiency by increasing the intensity of shear effects on the material.
