FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method of creating mycelial scaffolds is presented, the said method includes moving a geminophore with spores of fungi of the Basidiomycetes class from the natural habitat to a laboratory, onto a sterile agar nutrient medium, for initial mycelial growth and storage of the mycelium, followed by moving a part of the mycelium into a liquid nutrient medium for formation of a mycelial scaffold mat, inactivation of the growth of the basidial macromycete with solvents or acids, removal of an inactivating agent, long-term storage of the mycelial scaffold in ethanol or in a lyophilized form. A method of using mycelial scaffolds is also proposed, including transferring a mycelial scaffold of the required size from an alcohol solution to a sterile physiological solution for 15–20 minutes, applying it to damaged skin in such a way that the submerged layer of the scaffold is located in the air, and the air layer is located inside the damaged layer of the skin, followed by fixation with a light bandage.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain under laboratory conditions biocompatible self-organizing scaffolds from natural self-expanding interconnected mycelial cells of fungi of the Basidiomicetes class with the subsequent possibility to use them for the restoration of damaged organs and tissues, in particular human skin, as well as wound healing bandages.
