FIELD: medicine; radiation diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose osteomyelitis in patients with diabetic foot syndrome. SPECT/MRI is performed, and when performing three-phase osteoscintigraphy, the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals (RP) in the area of suspected osteomyelitis and the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the symmetrical intact area are determined. The X/N ratio is calculated in the soft tissue and bone phases, where X is the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the area of suspected osteomyelitis, N is the accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in the symmetrical intact area. When a fistula is detected, 4 points are assigned, when bone marrow edema is detected 2 points are assigned, when bone destruction is detected 2 points are assigned, when soft tissue edema is detected 1 point is assigned, when the X/N ratio in the soft tissue phase is 1.00–1.99, 1 point is assigned, 2.00–2.99, 2 points are assigned; 3.00–3.99, 3 points are assigned; 4 and above, 4 points are assigned, with values of the X/N ratio in the bone phase of 1.00–1.99, 1 point is assigned, 2.00–2.99, 2 points are assigned; 3.00–3.99, 3 points are assigned; 4 and above, 4 points are assigned. Then the scores are summed up and if the score is equal to or more than 9, osteomyelitis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides increased efficiency of radiodiagnosis of osteomyelitis against the background of diabetic foot syndrome in patients with diabetes mellitus due to MRI signs and scintigraphic signs.
