FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to space medicine, and can be used to assess the risk of developing neurodegenerative processes in astronauts. The method includes examination of adaptive mechanisms of nervous regulation and determination of regulatory factors of pre-nosological changes in adaptation reserves. In this case, the cumulative space impact index (CSII) is preliminarily calculated using the formula. Plasma tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is determined and the correlation between CSII and TNF-α is verified using the Pearson correlation coefficient. When confirming the correlation, the risk of developing neurodegenerative processes is assessed as high for CSII values exceeding 4000 and plasma tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), exceeding 8.1 pg/ml. The invention is accessible, cheap and easy to carry out research and practical application.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to significantly increase the accuracy of the assessment by obtaining an individual risk profile for a particular astronaut, the ability to form relatively homogeneous risk groups according to the assessment, use the data obtained during preventive examinations in order to formulate individual programs and carry out effective preventive and rehabilitation measures at the stage of preclinical manifestation of neurodegenerative processes.
