METHOD FOR CHOOSING TREATMENT FOR KELOID SCAR Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01N33/53 A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2806104 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: plastic and maxillofacial surgery. The method for choosing invasive treatment for a keloid scar includes collecting an anamnesis to identify the presence or absence of functional disorders and the duration of existence of scar tissue. Additionally, a histological examination is carried out to determine the reaction of osteoclast-like elements and an immunohistochemical study of scar tissue, which reveals the values of MMP1, K types III and IV,α -SMA. In case of existing functional disorders, regardless of the period of existence of scar tissue, when obtaining an indicator of the reaction of osteoclast-like elements in the range of 5.0-6.0 a.u., the value of type III collagen is in the range of 1.0-1.6 a.u., type IV collagen is in the range of 0.4-1.0 a.u., MMP1 is in the range of 0.0-1.4 a.u.,α -SMA is in the range of 0.0-0.6, surgical treatment is performed. In the absence of functional disorders, the period of existence of scar tissue is less than 6 months and when the reaction index of osteoclast-like elements is equal to 4.0 units, and the value of type III collagen is within 2.5-3.7 units, collagen Type IV, equal to 2.0 a.u., MMP1, equal to 6.0 a.u.,α -SMA within 5.4-6.0 USD cryolaser treatment of keloid scars is carried out.

EFFECT: individual selection of a specific treatment method for each patient, speeding up rehabilitation time, and achievement of good functional and aesthetic results in patients with keloid scars.
