FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to reconstructive surgery, and can be used for prediction of formation of a keloid cicatrix. That is ensured by laser examination of intact tissue by laser fluorescence spectroscopy at wavelengths λe=365 nm and λe=535 nm. Fluorescence intensity values of collagen and elastin are determined, as well as backscattered radiation intensity values. Indices of tissue content of collagen and elastin of intact tissue are determined. Examination is performed once before surgical treatment. Measurements are carried out in 3–5 points at distance of 0.5–1.5 cm from planned incision or modified tissue. Determining value of index Pkel and when Pkel≥0.62 predicts a high probability of developing a keloid cicatrix.
EFFECT: invention provides early rehabilitation of patients with scars of any location.
