FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: method for producing a reactive composite coating based on titanium and aluminum. A reactive composite mixture of titanium and aluminum powder materials is prepared at the following ratio of Ti - 40-60% and Al - 40-60%. The said prepared mixture is activated in an activator mill. The activated mixture is supplied from one dispenser to a detonation unit filled with a detonating gas mixture, and the said activated mixture is applied to the surface to be treated using the detonation energy of the gas mixture.

EFFECT: quality of a reactive coating based on titanium and aluminum applied using detonation energy is improved.
