SUBSTANCE: first predictive block is determined in the first region from at least one reference image using unspecified motion information. The current video block is a block of the luminance component. A motion information refinement procedure is applied to obtain motion offset information. A second predictive block is generated from the samples on the specified at least one reference image using information about the motion offset. Based on the direct mapping procedure the second predictive block is transformed from the first region to the second region. Reconstructed samples of the current video block are generated based on the second predicted block in the second region. To display the readings of the second predictive block, a piecewise linear model is used, the scaling factors of which are determined based on the first variables, which are determined on the basis of the syntax elements included in the set of adaptation parameters, and the second variables, determined on the basis of bit depth.
EFFECT: increase in efficiency of image encoding.
