FIELD: bearings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for diagnosing the technical condition of bearing units of transport and technological machines in operation. The essence of the method for diagnosing bearing units of transport and technological machines is to select a zone for diagnosis when analysing a thermogram of the surface of a working bearing unit based on three conditions: 1) maximum proximity to the loaded area of the rolling bearing; 2) maximum temperature in the diagnostic zone; 3) maximum distance from other sources of heat generation. When photographing the surface of a working bearing assembly in the infrared range using a thermal imager, a thermogram is obtained, analysed and a diagnostic zone is selected according to the three mentioned conditions.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and accuracy of diagnosing bearing assemblies of transport and technological machines in operation, which will make it possible to accurately identify bearing assemblies that require repair and maintenance actions.
