SUBSTANCE: concerns a new Lavr strain of the feline infectious rhinotracheitis virus of the Herpesviridae family, Varicellovirus genus, Alphaherpesvirus 7 species, deposited in the All-Russian State Collection of Exotic Types of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus and other Animal Pathogens (GKSM) of the Federal State Budgetary Institution ARRIAH under registration number: No. 457-dep/23-7 - GKSHM FSBI ARRIAH. The presented strain is reproduced in transplanted cell culture of Crandell-Reese Feline Kidney (CRFK). In a transplanted cell culture of CRFK, within 48-72 hours of incubation, the titer of infectious activity of the virus reaches 6.93±0.30 lg TCD50/cm3, maintaining the original characteristics when passaged in cell culture for 5 passages.
EFFECT: presented strain can be used for the manufacture of biological products for the diagnosis and specific prevention of infectious feline rhinotracheitis and for monitoring the antigenic activity of vaccines against this disease.
