SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to a method for indirect determination of the infectious activity titre of the "Lavr" vaccine strain of the infectious feline rhinotracheitis agent in the vaccine raw material based on the analysis of melting curves of high-resolution amplicons of the UL47 gene using the dsSafe fluorescent dye.

EFFECT: main advantages of the proposed invention are the possibility to reduce the time of analysis of virus-containing suspensions when determining the titre of infectious activity of the strain "Lavr" of the feline IRT agent in the raw material for vaccine to 2.5 hours; reduce the cost of one examination by 26.62%; increase analytical sensitivity to 0.1lgTCD50/cm3 due to use of highly specific primers and use of dsSafe fluorescent dye; increase the reliability of the analysis due to the establishment of the relationship between the titre of the infectious activity of the vaccine strain "Lavr" of the feline IRT agent in the raw material for the vaccine and the quantification cycle dsSafe presented in the form of a logarithmic function with high accuracy of approximation of 0.9987 and amplification efficiency of 99.85%.
