FIELD: cardiovascular surgery.

SUBSTANCE: used in cardiac surgery to determine the optimal zone for implantation of ventricular electrodes (VE) of a cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) device in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). Based on the data of myocardial perfusion scintigraphy with 99m Tc-MIBI at rest, the perfusion of the anterior and inferior septal regions of the LV is assessed. VEs are implanted into the basal, middle or apical segments of the anterior and inferior septal regions of the left ventricle (LV) if the degree of perfusion impairment is 2 points or less on a 5-point scale and the intensity of radiopharmaceutical accumulation is at least 30%.

EFFECT: increasing the effectiveness of cardiac contractility modulation therapy, leading to more significant reverse myocardial remodeling.
