FIELD: medicine; cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: transthoracic echocardiography is performed before implantation of a cardiac modulation device (CMD). In this case, based on the systolic constructive work and stroke volume, the kinetic energy density of the aortic blood flow (KED) is determined according to the original formula. If the KED value is >7.7 mmHg%/ml, an improvement in myocardial contractility is predicted within 12 months after implantation of the CMD device.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of predicting improvement in myocardial contractility within 12 months after implantation of the CMD device.
