FIELD: fibre optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fibre-optic gyroscopes (FOG) of the interferometric type. The design of the FOG sensing element is based on a coil with an optical fibre, in the frame of which 3 hemispherical supports are installed, through which the sensing element (interferometer) contacts the spherical pins at the location where the FOG is installed. The FOG is fastened to the pins at the installation site by screws. The input and output of the light guide into the coil is carried out through grooves and holes made on the coil frame. The optical fibre spool is covered on the outside with a magnetic shield consisting of three layers of soft magnetic material and heat-insulating spacers between the layers. The main optical and electrical elements necessary for the operation of the FOG are located on the base. The light guide connecting the optical elements fits into grooves made in the disk. The input and output of the light guide into the FOG housing is carried out through a sealing sleeve installed in the magnetic shield. The transition of the light guide from the lower part of the structure to the upper is carried out by placing it in special radial grooves of the sleeve to limit its free movement. The internal volume of the FOG coil is divided into upper and lower parts by a plate, which is an additional magnetic shield.

EFFECT: decrease in the sensitivity of the FOG output signal to external disturbances.
