METHOD FOR DETECTING SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL OF BROADBAND HYDROACOUSTIC COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01S15/00 H04B11/00 H04B1/10

Abstract RU 2807328 C1

FIELD: hydroacoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in hydroacoustic communication systems when implementing a procedure for detecting a synchronization signal generated on the basis of pseudo-random sequences of maximum length - M-sequences. In the method of detecting a hydroacoustic communication synchronization signal, the decision on detection is made based on trace analysis of correlation functions. To make a detection decision, cross-correlation is calculated for several pairs of signal fragments whose onsets are shifted relative to the previous pair by dT of reports. The dT shift values are determined by the correlation interval τcorr of noise components, where τcorr<dT<T, where T is the nominal length of one synchronizing symbol. The resulting set of correlation functions of shifted signal fragments is used to construct a detection trace. To do this, the samples of the correlation functions are compared with a threshold, the sample number of the correlation function acts as an analogue of the Doppler channel. The number of threshold exceedances in each Doppler channel is obtained by summing the exceedances for all correlations. The result is a vector of values, each of which corresponds to the number of times the threshold is exceeded in the Doppler channel. The elements of the vector of the number of exceedances are compared with the detection threshold, which is expressed as the number of exceedances of the correlation level threshold in one Doppler channel. When the threshold number of level exceedances is exceeded, a detection decision is made.

EFFECT: provision of a fixed probability of correct detection with a lower signal-to-noise ratio at the input of the processing system.
