FIELD: thermal engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface-type heat exchange devices in which water vapour is used as a heating coolant and they are equipped with condensate drainage systems containing condensate drains. A system for removing condensate from a steam heat exchanger, including a float-type condensate trap, a condensate pipeline connecting the outlet pipe of the steam heat exchanger with a float-type condensate trap, a tube connecting the steam spaces of the float-type condensate trap and the steam heat exchanger, made with a shut-off element installed on the condensate pipeline. In parallel with the condensate pipeline two or more bypass pipelines located at different heights relative to each other and equipped with shut-off devices are installed, with the ability to pass discharged condensate through them and change the level of the condensate layer.
EFFECT: regulation of the level of the condensate layer in the steam space of the heat exchanger during its operation.
