FIELD: absorbent product.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing an absorbent product, the method includes guiding a first sheet material along a rotating member, the surface of the pivoting member being provided with a pattern having at least one suction zone and at least one non-suction zone; applying the absorbent material to the first sheet material on the rotating member; locally removing the applied absorbent material from at least one connecting portion of the first sheet material disposed over the at least one non-suction zone so that the at least one remaining portion of the first sheet material disposed over the at least one suction zone is covered by the absorbent material and there is substantially no absorbent material at at least one connecting area; placing a second sheet material over the absorbent material on the first sheet material.
EFFECT: absorbent product is proposed.
