FIELD: electroerosion tests of electrocontact materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroerosion tests of electrocontact materials and contact parts and can be used to assess their resource during comparative tests under conditions of electroerosion wear. Essence: contact parts are tested in medium-current and high-current modes, the results are recorded in both modes and the results are processed, according to the results of which the modes of accelerated wear resistance assessment are determined. Contact pairs made of a certain material from one production batch are used as contact parts. Each contact pair weighed before and after the test. Contact pairs are sequentially installed on the stand for exposure to one or more specified, increasing for each contact pair, rectangular DC pulses supplied at specified intervals. The result of fixation is the measurement of the mass loss Δm of each contact pair before and after the test. The results are processed by plotting the dependence of Δm on the magnitude of the corresponding DC pulses for each contact pair. From the graph, the transition area of the medium-current to high-current mode is revealed, visible as a change in the slope of two parts graphics, each of which serves as a range of the corresponding mode of accelerated assessment of wear resistance for a certain material of contact parts.
EFFECT: simplification of the method for assessing the electrical erosion wear resistance of the material of electrical contact parts while increasing its accuracy.
