FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hemostatic agent based on chitosan. A chitosan-based hemostatic agent, including a cellulose-based nonwoven material impregnated with a composition with nanoporous chitosan, having a surface density of 106–200 g/m2, while the content of nanoporous chitosan in the composition with which the nonwoven material is impregnated is at least 25%.
EFFECT: above-described product has significantly increased hemostatic efficiency due to an increase in the amount of chitosan in the finished product, the use of non-woven material based on cellulose, which has its own hemostatic activity, modification of the structure of the hemostatic material and the introduction of additional components into its composition that have their own hemostatic activity.
