FIELD: medicine; functional diagnostics; somnology; public health and healthcare; occupational physiology; chronobiology.
SUBSTANCE: persons over 18 years of age wear an actimeter that records the actual level of melanopic light exposure received for at least 3 days. Then the average value of the actually received melanopic light exposure is calculated in total for every 30 minutes in the time period from 08:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m. in microwatts per square centimeter. Next, the differences between the average values of the actual melanopic light exposure and the recommended values are determined. The average value of adjacent differences is determined and multiplied by the phase shift potential coefficient and their sum is determined. The resulting amount is divided by the value of the night light impact of the reference curve, taking into account the phase response curve equal to 9.68, and divided by 4, the resulting value is the shift potential for slowing down the biological clock based on the relative evening and night melanopic light load.
EFFECT: method provides an assessment of the slowing of the biological clock by assessing the relative evening and night melanopic light load.
