FIELD: medicine; functional diagnostics; somnology; public health and healthcare; occupational physiology; chronobiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the level of evening melanopic light load. The persons over 18 years of age wear an actimetre that records the actual level of melanopic light exposure received for at least 3 days. Then the average value of the actually received melanopic light exposure is calculated in total for every 30 minutes in the time period from 08:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m. in microwatts per square centimetre. Next, the differences between the average values of the actual melanopic light exposure and the recommended values are determined. The average value of adjacent differences is determined. The sum of all average values of neighbouring differences that have a positive value is calculated. If the sum of all positive differences is below 15 microwatts per square centimetre, then the level of evening melanopic light load is assessed as low. If the sum of all differences that have a positive value is from 15 to 50 microwatts per square centimetre, then the level of evening melanopic light load is assessed as average. If the sum of all differences that have a positive value exceeds 50 microwatts per square centimetre, then the level of evening melanopic light load is assessed as high.
EFFECT: method provides an individual assessment of the level of evening melanopic light exposure based on actimetry, which records the actual level of melanopic light exposure.
