FIELD: water purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the purification of natural and wastewater, including galvanic production, from inorganic impurities. The method of wastewater treatment includes simultaneous adsorption and electrochemical treatment, affecting the adsorbent (quartz sand) and the water passed through it with a uniform electric field, the lines of force of which are directed parallel to the direction of water movement, and further settling. A uniform electric field is created using an alternating current source by applying voltage to the graphite anode and cathode, between which the adsorbent is located. The uniform electric field strength ranges from 40 V/m to 100 V/m.
EFFECT: simplification of equipment with high efficiency of water purification.
