SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as pneumatic drives for various mobile and stationary machines, in particular for drives of aircraft propellers. The technical result is achieved in a roller-blade engine containing a housing with inlet and outlet openings, a rotor located in the housing with the possibility of rotation, the rotor on the outside has a blade of the first type for converting the pressure of the working fluid into torque of the rotor, the blade of the first type is located in a closed space formed by the radial gap between the rotor and the housing, there is a separator roller located in the housing with the possibility of rotation, the separator roller is coupled with the rotor to ensure the division of the volume in the gap between the rotor and the housing into chambers, the separator roller has a depression for the passage of the blade when its movement through it, and the housing is made open on both sides along the rotor axis to ensure the passage of a medium flow through it, the rotor has the shape of a shell, on the inner side of which the second type blade is placed with the ability to convert the rotor torque into a force that creates a medium flow directed along its axis, the cross section inside the rotor shell is covered only by the blades, the width of the blade at the base, closer to the rotor, is greater than at its end.
EFFECT: reduction in stresses arising in engine parts, and, as a result, a reduction in the requirements for the material used, providing the potential for increasing engine power, as well as increasing the aerodynamic properties of the engine.
